* This card was banned because people would summon powerful Fusion Monsters and attack with them. They would also tribute them with cards such as [[Catapult Turtle]], before they return to the Fusion Deck, causing a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
* "[[Magical Scientist]]" is featured in the artwork artworks of "[[Success Probability 0%]]" and "[[DNA Physical Examination]]".
* This card is based around the stock character ''The Mad Scientist'' in fiction. Many believe this character archetype sprouted from Mary Shelley's character Dr. Victor Frankenstein, from her novel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein Frankenstein]. Perhaps this is why both Magical Scientist and [[Cyber-Stein]] summon Fusion Monsters.
