Yu-Gi-Oh!
- In the Japanese anime, this card's attack name is "Golem Volcano". However Jonouchi decided to name the attack himself and called it "Jonouchi Fire".
- Marik Ishtar used this card against Joey Wheeler by tributing Joey's Jinzo and Baby Dragon.
- Lava Golem only inflicted 700 points of damage to its controller's Life Points each turn and this effect activated during his/her End Phase.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
- Yubel removes this card from play with "Super Polymerization", but Jaden stopped it by activating "Spiritual Fusion" to negate "Chain Material" and therefore negating "Super Polymerization".
