Yu-Gi-Oh!
Yu-Gi-Oh!
*The anime version of this card was not a Continuous Spell Card but a Field Spell Card, though its effect could be used multiple times during the turn in which it was activated. Also, in the anime version, this card supposedly drains the very souls of the card holder's monsters, creating a form of energy known as Ectoplasm, which is fired directly at the card holder's opponent. Yami Yugi finds this card's effect to be particularly cruel and horrible, as it sacrifices one's monsters, and derides Arkana for doing so in a callous manner. *In episode 61, Arkana plays uses this card, during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He activates this card as part of his plan to defeat Yami Yugi. Arkana activates this card's effect to select "Fiend" and Tributing "Doll of Demise" in order to inflict damage to decrease Yami Yugi Muto's Life Points equal to 700half the ATK of "Doll of Demise". He Arkana then attempts activates this card's effect to finish Yugi off by Tributing select "Spellcaster" and Tribute his "Dark Magician"in order to inflict half its ATK as damage to Yami Yugi, but an additional anime effect activates, Tributing Yami Yugi's "Dark Magician" is Tributed as well, preventing causing the damage to either playerbe nullified. In the next episode, this card remained on the field until the Duel was over.**In the manga version, the Ectoplasm projectiles goes around Yugi's "Big Shield Gardna" to reach Yugi, while the anime version it goes through "Big Shield Gardna". *In episode 79, Yami Bakura plays uses this card, Tributing during his Duel against Bonz. He activates this card as part of his winning move. Yami Bakura activates this card's effect to select "Fiend" and Tribute "The Earl of Demise" in order to inflict damage to defeat Bonz. Curiouslyequal to half the ATK of "The Earl of Demise", it appeared to be played as a Field Magic Cardwhich wins Yami Bakura the Duel. After he won, Yami Bakura took Bonz's five Locator Cards as per the Battle City Rules.** Curiously, this card appeared to be played as a Field Magic Card.
