* "Pot of Avarice" works well with "[[Magical Merchant]]", who can fill the Graveyard with monsters. * This card is very handy in a "[[Lightsworn]]" Deck. This card helps forestall [[Deck Out|decking out]] and gets some extra cards in the hand in the process. However, returning the "Lightsworn" monsters could make it harder to Summon their ace monster, "[[Judgment Dragon]]", unless it was milled. * Use this card in "[[Fabled]]"/"[[Dark World]]" Decks, since your Graveyard will fill quickly. * Use in "[[Gadget]]" Decks to return them to the Deck and continue the [[Floater|cycling]]. * This card can be useful in a "[[Koa'ki Meiru]]" Deck, given how quickly the Graveyard fills up. * Use this card in a "[[Laval]]" Deck to return "[[Soaring Eagle Above the Searing LandSearcher|Soaring Eaglesearched]]", "[[Laval Coatl]]", and other cards that work better in the hand. * Use in a "[[Volcanic]]" Deck to recycle your "[[Volcanic Shell]]" and "[[Volcanic Scattershot]]" and refill the hand. * Use after activating "[[Future Fusion]]" for a [[Fusion Monster]] with a large number of [[Fusion Material Monster]]s (e.g. "[[Five-Headed Dragon]]", "[[Chimeratech Overdragon]]", "[[Worm Zero]]"). * Use this card in a "[[Shooting Star Dragon]]" Deck. Returning the [[Tuner monster]]s from the Graveyard to the Deck, increases the chance of getting Tuners for the Dragon's multi-attack effect. * Use with cards that can search copies of themselves out like by "[[Reborn TenguTriple Tactics Thrust]]" or "[[Giant Germ]]". If there is one on the field and two in the Graveyard, add the two back to the Deck to use their effects once again.** This card is a godsend for [[LV Monster]]s, as they can't "[[Level Up]]" from the Graveyard. * Return [[Synchro Monster|Synchro]]Endymion, Fusion, and/or [[Xyz Monster]]s to the Extra Deck.** If there are enough Synchro, Fusion and/or Xyz Monsters in the Graveyard, this card can also act like a "[[Pot Mighty Master of GreedMagic]]", with the bonus of returning those cards to the Extra Deck. * This card, added along with "[[Des Feral Imp]]" and "[[The Transmigration Prophecy]]", would provide a 3-card combination to prevent [[Deck Out|decking out]]. * If "[[Stardust Dragon]]" was Special Summoned with the effect of "[[Starlight Road]]", it can't be revived after it's sent to the Graveyard, since it was not Synchro Summoned first. Use "[[Pot of Avarice]]" to return it (along with 4 other monsters) to the Extra Deck, draw 2 cards, then Synchro Summon it later. * Use this card in an "[[Elemental HERO]]" Fusion Deck to recycle "[[Elemental HERO Stratos]]" and "[[Elemental HERO Necroshade]]". ** Use it after targeting "[[Elemental HERO Divine Neos]]" with "Future Fusion". * Return [[DARK]] monsters to align the Graveyard for "Dark Armed Dragon". * Recycle your trio List of "[[Nimble Momongageneric searchers#Spells|generic searchers]]" for another 3000 life points and a few more turns' worth of defense. ==Traditional Format== * Use "[[Substitoad]]" and fill the Graveyard with "[[Frog]]" monsters by constantly Tributing them, meeting this card's cost.
