Biography
===CanonHistory===Yuya Sakaki was one of four sons (the other three being Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri) to parents Yusho Sakaki and Yuzu Hiiragi. The four were inseparable, his brothers doting on him as he was the youngest. The four would often practice dueling together, setting up the most elaborate card puzzles possible and challenging each other to solve them. Prior to a performance his father was taking part in, Yuya asked him why he chose to become an entertainer and leave his career as a scientist behind. Yusho explained his reasoning, saying that his true goal was to find a way to make his old friend, Leo Akaba, laugh again. Inspired by this, Yuya resolves to follow in his father's footsteps as a duelist. On the day of Yuya's birthday, he is watching Yugo compete in a turbo duel tournament as the world begins to collapse. Reuniting with all three of his brothers, they rush home to answer a call by their father. On the way there, Yuya is knocked unconscious by falling debris after pushing his brothers to safety, the three carrying him home to find that three out of four of the escape pods intended to send them to their father's basement laboratory were destroyed. Placed inside the remaining pod, Yuya is sent downward to safety. As the World Illusion begins to roll back time, Yuya awakens to find his father. Begging for answers, Yusho explains that he is to find the G.O.D. card in the past and destroy it so it can never bring about the end of days. As the world fades away around him, Yuya is sent backwards through time in the pod. At some point during this journey, the souls of his brothers managed to inhabit his body. Additionally, Yuya's memories became damaged, his brothers agreeing that it would be for the best not to reveal the full story to spare him the heartache of knowing what he had lost. ===Yu-Gi-Oh!
