By this, Kalin loses and in was the end not only does he makes peace with him, but also reveals to Yusei he had another purpose besides that of revenge when he transformed into a third Dark Signer. When Rex Goodwin is was defeated in the final battle, and the [[King of the UnderworldNetherworld]] is was destroyed, Kalin is was restored to life, along with the other Dark Signers except for Roman and Goodwin himself. However, like Carly its expected for him to have no memory of ever being a Dark Signer.

Lawton and Barbara attempted to make a final getaway but were stopped by Crow and Jack. Kalin gave chase on Yusei's Duel Runner and caught him in order to finish his handlast turn. Lawton, knowing his top card was a spell card that would render Kalin's "[[Earthbound Immortals|Earthbound ImmortalInfernity Doom Slinger]]" monster is useless, agreed to finish the Duel. But Kalin used the effect of "[[Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu|Ccapac ApuInfernity Climber]]"to draw this card instead of his spell card, which is also his ace monsterusing the effect of "Infernity Doom Slinger", and finished off Lawton (In the dub, Kalin, after catching up to Lawton, taking advantage restrains him until Sector Security arrived as Kalin believed he didn't deserve to end the Duel properly for being a coward).
