Sorry,Dupe Frog's effecy is a "When....,you can",which means that it will miss the timing.
* When using [[Substitoad]], as long as you have a [[Dupe Frog]] on the field, your opponents will not be able to destroy either of them by battle, thanks to [[Dupe Frog]]'s effect. If you leave [[Dupe Frog]] in Defense Mode, then your opponents can't touch your Life Points through battle. Using this strategy, team it up with [[Unifrog]]s to constantly attack your opponent without worry of them being attacked themselves.
 
* You can use this card's effect to special summon [[Dupe Frog]] from your deck, then use [[Substitoad]]'s effect again tributing [[Dupe Frog]] to add a [[Frog]] monster to your hand using [[Dupe Frog]]'s effect, whilst also using [[Substitoad]]'s effect. You can repeat this multiple times to gain severe hand advantage. This combo is best used with [[Salvage]] or [[Pot of Avarice]].
* This is very useful when used with [[Shield and Sword]].
* Be careful when making some plays, as this card is not a [[Frog]]. This means some cards such as [[Froggy Forcefield]] will not work with Substitoad.
