* Be careful when making some plays, as this card is not a [[Frog]]. This means some cards such as [[Froggy Forcefield]] will not work with Substitoad.
* Use this card with [[One for One]] to special summon [[Substitoad]]. Normal summon another monster to the field and use [[Substitoad]]'s effect to search out Dupe Frog, then your opponent can't touch your Life Points.
** If you have another monster on your side of the field, you can also summon this card and tribute said other monster and this card to summon two [[Dupe Frog]], to make your opponent unable to attack at all.
*Convine this card with "Exodia" (and its parts),3"Exodius The Ultimate Forbbiden Lord"(3"Substitoad"-3"Poison draw frog"),"Magical Malet" ,3"Moray Of Greed",3"Pot Of Avarice".--manige to draw exodia.By tributing with Substitoad and draw cards with Poison Draw Frog then Exodius .../Pot Of Avarice/Magical Malet...etc
