* In the anime, the original reason that "Satellite Cannon" couldn't be destroyed was because it's summoned up in space, too high for any '''weak''' monster to reach. Kaiba's "[[Blue-Eyes White Dragon]]" on the other hand, being incredibly strong (and [[Level]] 8), was able to fly up and destroy it.
** This was mirrored in real life by preventing this card from being destroyed by any monster that's level 7 or lower (those that are too "weak").
* "Satellite Cannon" bears a resemblance to the satellite that [[Sartorius]] tried to gain access to during his final duel with [[Jaden]] in season two of [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX]].
