  • You can use the card "The Eye of Truth" to give your opponent life points making this card a little safer to use as you won't need to be at critical life points to activate it.
  • The various video games occasionally challenge the player to get a draw instead of winning or losing. Self-Destruct Button is generally the easiest way of doing that.
  • You might expect that you could chain "Poison of the Old Man" to this card to allow you to gain life points after it resolves; however, Poison of the Old Man will resolve first, then Self-Destruct Button will reduce your newly added life points to zero.
  • Use the effect of "Inspection" multiple times during your opponent's Standby Phase to reduce your Life Points to a sufficient amount.
