  • Since this card's effect protects all Set cards on the field (including monsters and the opponent's cards), it can be useful against Decks that benefit from destroying their own Set cards, such as "Artifact" and "Unchained" Decks.
  • This card's first effect can work well in Stall Decks that rely on using a single Trap Card per turn to ward off the opponent's attacks (such as "Thunder of Ruler", "Threatening Roar", or "Waboku"), since after a stall Trap Card is activated, the opponent typically uses the opportunity to destroy the player's other Set Trap Cards in hopes of destroying a similar stall Trap Card.
    • This card can work especially well in Decks that rely on "Bad Reaction to Simochi", since this card's second effect can retrieve it from the Deck (or another essential card such as "Gift Card"), and typically only 1 turn is needed with that Trap Card in order to defeat the opponent.
  • "Imperial Iron Wall" is a good Trap Card to retrieve with this card's effect, since that Trap's effect will prevent itself from being banished during the End Phase.
    • Even if "Imperial Iron Wall" is already drawn, and no longer possible to retrieve from the Deck, that Trap can still be useful for preventing other Spells/Traps from being banished by this monster's effect.
  • "Vivid Tail" works well with this card, since it can return to the hand either this monster (so that it activate its effects again, either for protection and/or Setting another Spell/Trap Card from the Deck) or the Spell/Trap Card that this monster's effect Sets to the field (before that Spell/Trap is banished during the End Phase, if it cannot be activated in time).
    • "Vivid Tail" can also be Set from the Deck via this monster's effect, in order to eventually be used to return to the hand another Spell/Trap that this monster's effect Sets. (After first being Set by this monster's effect, it's activated to return this monster to the hand; then during the next turn, it Sets itself from the Graveyard by returning this monster to the hand again after it's used its Spell/Trap-retrieving effect; and during the next turn, it's activated again to return to the hand the Spell/Trap that was Set from the previous turn.)
    • To a lesser extent, "Double Dust Tornado Twins" can also return the Set Spell/Trap Card to the hand, but it is incapable of returning this monster to the hand for re-use.
  • Instead of waiting for the opponent's turn in order to use this card's second effect, it can be possible to activate that effect earlier, with the help of a hand-revealing card effect such as that of "Ceremonial Bell", "Click & Echo", "Respect Play", or "Clear World".
  • Since this card's effect eventually banishes the Spell/Trap Card that it Sets, it can be possible to trigger the effect of "Xyz Dimension Splash" this way, although the Summoned monsters will be vulnerable during the opponent's next turn (due to being Summoned during the End Phase).
