Once a player enters the [[Phase#Battle Phase|Battle Phase]], an Attack may be Declared. To do so, the player must have at least 1 monster in [[Attack Position]] (Unless he/she has either [[Total Defense Shogun]] or [[Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster]] in [[face-up]] [[Defense Position]]).
Attacks have no [[Spell Speed]] and do not use a [[chain]]<sup><font class=plainlinksref>[http://yugioh.faq.konami.jp/EokpControl?&lang=en&tid=15665&event=FE0006 refKonami FAQ]</font></supref>. You cannot [[chain]] to an attack, but you can [[respond]] to it. ===References===<references/>
