* During [[Joey Wheeler]]'s second duel against [[Mai Valentine]] (under [[Dartz]]'s influence), Joey summons this card on his opening turn. It then gets destroyed by Mai's "[[Cyber Harpie Lady]]" (equipped with "[[Aero Nail]]") but this card's first effect allows Joey to special summon "[[Flame Swordsman]]". Later, Joey uses "[[The Warrior Returning Alive]]" to add this card back to his hand. Joey then summons this card to the field. Joey then creates "[[Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword]]" by merging his "[[Red-Eyes B. Dragon|Red-Eyes Black Dragon]]" with "[[The Claw of Hermos]]". Joey then equips "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword" to this card. Joey then has this card attack and destroy Mai's "[[Harpie Lady 2]]". On the next turn, Mai activates "[[Harpie's Feather Duster]]" to destroy Joey's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword". Next Mai uses "[[Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation]]" (which she returns to her hand via "[[Spell Reproduction]]") to destroy this card, but Joey uses this card's second effect to transfer this card's attack points to Mai's "[[Harpie Lady 1]]" so that way he takes no damage from the effect of "Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation". Joey then uses this card's first effect to Special Summon "Flame Swordsman" again.
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 184|episode 184]], this card appears in a flashback Mai has when she remembers Joey telling her he learned a lot from Dueling Valon and that he is Dueling her in order to convey his will to her.
