- He might be based on DC Comics superhero, Static.
- This is supported by Voltic appearing to be an older version, similar to how there was an older version of Static in a crossover between DC Comics-based cartoons: Batman Beyond and Static Shock
- This card's artwork somewhat resembles "Elemental Hero Sparkman". Additionally, his DEF is the same as ATK of "Sparkman".
