This card's name references "Nimble Momonga", which has the same level, ATK, DEF, and also special summons copies of itself from the deck.

This card has a counterpart, known as "Space Mambo" ("Mambo" is japanese for "Sunfish"), even though the latter lives in outer space.

This card is the first of two "Nimble" WATER monsters, the other being Nimble Manta.
