- "Threatening Roar" can be used to counter most One Turn Kills, since they often depend on activating Spell Cards such as "Heavy Storm" or "Giant Trunade" to clear the Spell & Trap Card Zones before attacking. Threatening Roar can be activated in response to the Spell Cards.
- This card is also considered to be a better version of "Waboku", since they can't even force you to flip your Morphing Jar if it's on the field.
- This card can prevent Gladiator Beasts from attacking.
- If your opponent has Red Dragon Archfiend on the field, this card will cause its effect to destroy all of their other monsters.
