* Due to this card's effect, it's useful for bringing out Monarchs when you activate something like [[The Shallow Grave]] that makes your opponent summon a monster. Use [[Double Summon]] to bring out two Monarchs.
* You can use this card in a "[[Fabled]]" deck. It can even be used in place of "[[Fabled Soulkius]]" because Soulkius sends 2 cards to the Graveyard, while this card discards 1 card (a less heavy cost that generate advantage).
