The '''Wind-Up''', known as '''Zenmai''' in the OCG, are a series of wind-up toy-like monsters that premiered in ''[[Generation Force]]''and received further support in ''[[Photon Shockwave]]'' and ''[[Order of Chaos]]''. There are monsters of all [[Attribute]]s, though [[EARTH]] is most prominent, and 3 [[Xyz Monster]]s.

The effects of the known "Wind-Up" monsters varies vary from [[Special Summon]] and [[Swarm Deck|Swarm]] tactics to [[Level]] - and [[ATK]] -manipulation to gaining hand advantage. Each non-[[Xyz Monster|Xyz]] "Wind-Up" monster can only use its effect once while it's face-up on the field advantage. Many support cards revolve around flipping them face-down or otherwise recycling them.

All ==Play Style==A "Wind-Up" Deck uses a variety of these varied single-use monster effects make to control the field while "[[Wind-UpFactory]]" generates [[hand advantage]]. Each "[[Wind-UpFactory]]" monster, except the "[[Xyz MonsterWind-Up Zenmaighty|XyzZenmaighty]]", and "[[Wind-Version, Up Honey|Honey]]" can only provide you with single-use its effect once while it's facemonsters to address any situation. You can [[toolbox]] "[[Wind-up on the field. Support cards include flipping Up Soldier|Soldier]]" to kill low-Level beatsticks, "[[Wind-Up Juggler|Juggler]]" to break walls, "[[Wind-UpKitten|Kitten]]" to deal with [[Extra Deck]] monsters face, "[[Wind-down or returning them Up Rat|Rat]]" to your handproduce Rank 3 [[Xyz Monsters|Xyzs]], allowing you to re"[[Wind-use their effects. In this veinUp Rabbit|Rabbit]]" for reuse and deflection, it could also be helpful to add some returning or "[[Wind-Up Knight|Knight]]" for defense. Another type of "Wind-Up" Deck swarms low-ATK monsters by looping "[[banishWind-Up Rat]]ing cards " to a produce multiple "Zenmaighty". This can be used alongside "[[Wind-Up Deck as wellMagician]]" to create OTKs.
