* In the Japanese Anime of [[Yu-Gi-Oh!]] and Manga of [[Yu-Gi-Oh! R]], [[Negate Attack]] was a [[Quick-Play Spell Card]] used by [[Seto Kaiba]] and [[Leon von Schroeder]]. It could also block 'redirected' attacks, such as when [[Mirror Force]] was used.
** In the dub version of yugioh Yu-gi-Oh second series episode 10 when [[Mimic of Doom]] activated this card, [[Yami Yugi]] said that Mimic had a magic prepared, but in that case [[Negate Attack]] was purple, so in that moment it was a [[Trap Card]] not a [[Spell Card]], in the Japanese version it was a [[Quick-Play Spell Card]].  * During season 5 of Engilsh anime, it was changed to a [[Trap Cards|Trap Card]] in order to follow the OCG/TCG rules and effects.

* In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, it was changed to a [[Trap Cards|Trap Card]] in order to follow the OCG/TCG rulesand effects.
** Although, it still appeared in the GX Japanese closing song [[Borderline Battle]] as a [[Spell Cards|Spell Card]].
 
* [[Jaden Yuki]] uses this card in various episodes throughout all four seasons.
 
* [[Nightshroud]]/[[Atticus Rhodes|Atticus]] uses this card against [[Zane Truesdale]].
 * [[Jean-Louis Bonaparte]] set this card during his duel with [[Vellian Crowler]], but was unable to activate it. * When dueling [[Doctor Collector]], [[The D]] used this card.to negate [[Cosmo Queen]]'s attack
==[[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's]]==
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Episode 065|episode 65]], [[Ghost]] used this card to negate [[Goyo Guardian]]'s attack while protecting [[Wise Core]] against [[Tetsu Ushio|Officer Trudge]].
 
* In [[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Episode 082|episode 82]], [[Guard Robot]] activate this card to negate [[Yusei Fudo|Yusei]]'s [[Level Eater]]'s attack.
