'''Swarm of''' is a [[series]] of [[DARK]] monsters that share the same effect to [[flip]] itself into [[face-down]] [[Defense Position]] [[once per turn]] and [[activate]] their effect when flipped face-up. The series mostly consists of [[Level 3]] [[Insect]] monsters with an [[original ATK and DEF]] divisible by 500 (with the exception of "[[Swarm of Crows]]", a [[Level 5]] [[Winged Beast]] monster with 1200 [[ATK]]/1800 [[DEF]]).

All the cards in this series feature a large amount of creatures in their artwork. In the ''[[OCG]]'', the naming scheme is "[Name of the creature in Katakana]" + "2 Kanji" that represents large amount of creatures. In the ''[[TCG]]'', they are all named "Swarm of" + the creature the artwork illustrated.
