Does Silent Swordsman negate the activation of Spell Cards????

Is it like a Jinzo, but for Spell Cards ????

His description states: "negate the effects of all Spell Cards on the field."

I believe this goes for both players

Thanks

It works almost like Jinzo (but for Spell cards). It doesn't work exactly like him because with Jinzo players cannot activate Trap Cards, but with Silent Swordsman LV7 players can activate Spell Cards, and their effects will be negated when they resolve. You can say it works exactly like Royal Decree (but for Spell cards), or better like Imperial Order.
And yes, it applies to both players.
