This card's English name means Red Ace in Japanese. Akaki 赤き means red and eisu is a phonetic rendering of "ace" in Japanese.
This card's mask resembles Hei's mask from Darker Than Black.
- He is also manipulating what appears to be lightning much like Hei.
This card's concept could have been inspired from the Japanes urban legend of Aka Manto.

-** It is not clear where the actual English name comes from, but, would it have been taken from the Japanese language, it could be analyzed as: aka (赤, adjective meaning "red"), kiei (気鋭, noun or adjective meaning "spirited", "spirited person") and su (主, honorific suffix), the whole name probably meaning "the spirited man in red" (thus probably referring to Aka Manto), but the "su" honorific is really archaic and the word itself is not attested elsewhere other than in the English translation, while the Japanese name レッド エース could have been as well transliterated as "Red Ace".
