This card is based on the Tarot card, The Empress, the third of the Major Arcana cards.
- This card's Japanese name, Tris, is from the French word for empress, impératrice.

This card shares the same ATK and DEF as "Dark Magician Girl."
- Both cards also share an effect to increase their ATK in increments of 300.

This card acts as a counterpart to "Hierophant of Prophecy," as this card destroys monsters while the Hierophant destroys Spell/Trap Cards.
