- Based on the man's clothing and the way his cravat is tied, one could assumed that this portrait was created (and accursed) in the early 19th century in western Europe, possibly the United Kingdom. The man's beard, however, resembles the style sported by emperor William I and many other Germans during the era of the foundation of the second German Empire around 1870.
- This card may also be a reference to The Picture of Dorian Gray.
- The coloration of this monster and its background is similar to that of "The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams".
- This is fitting, since both cards were used by Yami Bakura.
- This card's OCG/TCG artwork is taken from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist - Duel 145, specifically from the panel where it is shown being Summoned.
