- This card is based on the coelacanth, a prehistoric order of fish thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in 1938.
- The golden appendage upon his head can be interperted as a crown.
- This is the second strongest Fish-Type monster, behind Earthbound Immortal Chacu Chalhua.
