God cards are indeed special each god card has its special ability. Obelisk- Tribute 3 monster from your side of the field and destroy all monster on you opponents side of the field. Ra- Ra, once per turn Ra cannot be destroyed by battle and it gains the attack equal to the three monsters tributed Slifer- Destroys all monster with under 200atk. the moment they are summoned

No god card is affected by magic or trap card(cards that destroy the God cards). God cards can be affected by cards that negate the attack or stop them from attacking but those effects only last on the god cards for one turn such as Spellbinding circle, Swords of Revealing Lights, or Negate Attack. As long as the cards does not destroy the god card it can be use against the for one turn. This might be their one and only weakness.
