• A Manticore is a Mythological Creature from Greek Myths. It had the body of a lion, the wings of a bat, and a roughly human face. It enjoyed meat, and it hunts by launching spikes from it's tail, plus other random parts on it's body.

• The manga version of this card is a counterpart to Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast, which is a card Yugi plays often. The real-life counterpart attempts to recreate the manga version with its effect.

• This card is almost an upgraded version of Manticore of Darkness.
