• A Manticore is a Mythological Creature from Greek Myths. It had the body of a lion, the wings of a bat, and a roughly human face. It enjoyed meat, and it hunts by launching spikes from it's tail, plus other random parts on it's body.

• A Mosaic is a type of artwork created by placing many small pieces of different colored stones together in order to create a pattern or picture. This perhaps reflects the appearance of this card, as it appears to be made from parts of several creatures.

• This card is similar to "Manticore of Darkness".
