Call of the Haunted is limited one. And Monster Reborn Is banned. Are you playing tourament wise or for fun? Either way I'd recommend a magical hats for your geartown's second part.Masterwho 15:51, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Dude, are you from like 2008? xD On the current banned list, Call of the haunted is completely unlimited, monster reborn is at 1, and terraforming to reliably get and play more field spells is a way better way to destroy Geartown than magical hats. 99.149.182.54 (talk) 16:30, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

also , you could run 2 or 3 three Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane as mostly are earth , it can be usefull to tribute any monster to bring in an Ancient Gear Knight from the graveyard , and gemini summon it Aguz89 17:13, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

I would try to fit in 2 Cyber Dragon Since they will allow 2 in less then a week and they are machine and it can be special summoned with a little luck lol. Also should be a bit easy to get now that they are a starter card.Masterwho 14:09, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

I would also recommend adding 2 machina fortresses, since you can discard a gadjilitron dragon or a golem to special summon a 2500 beatstick.


Are you basing your deck on Dr. Crowler and Rudolph Heitmann?


Try Solidarity and Pot of Avarice. No Spititual Art or Gadjiltron Chimera. And one thing, do you want to focus on Geartown or Golem-Fusion? That are the 2 best A.G. Decks (then not including variants like Machina-Ancient Gear decks) or do you just want to play a ordinary Ancient Gear deck? Ancientgearking 16:51, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Do not EVER put cyber drags or machinas in an ancient gear deck.that makes it lame,and future fusion sucks to.and that last guy is a f***ing copy cat of me ther true ancient gear king

i think you should run at least one cyber dragon becuase u run alot of high level monsters and its good for tributing, and to be honest gadgets r not really useful in this deck yeah they can search each other out and some ancient gears can be boost up by them but they r weak unleess u run something like solidarity. i ran ancient gears ever since it came out in the structure deck and i constantly rebuild it to go against good duelist i even beat a pro with it just once i guess i got lucky. but basically my strategy was to bring out ult.golem with power bond and just otk

your relining too much on geartown take out 1 ancient gear gadjiltron dragon take out 1 ancient gear gadjiltron chimera take out 1 of each gadget add at least 1 royal decree add 1 boot up soldier: dread dynamo add 1 ancient gear drill and add 1 limiter remover

i am an expert duelist i was ranked #7 in denver city when i was at the top. i am undefeated as a tag team duelist and i used to get tons of cards back then. i also got the ancient gear deck when it came out. i changed it big time and took out some of the traps for 3 royal decrees. i still kept stronghold though becuase i use royal decree when my opponent activates a trap card that can hurt my ancient gears

Ancient Gear Deck Help

Take out knight because he's a gemini and you dont want to have to re-summon him. also try Ancient Gear Workshop because its pot of averice only it adds an Ancient Gear to your hand. also only run 2 golem because he cant be special summoned. also run a chimera because he can also be special summoned.

i actually run an ancient gear deck. get rid of the beasts and golems because they cant be special summoned and get rid of the gear knight just because he really isnt all that good. max out the gadjiltron dragons and chimeras and run 2 of each gadgets and add in a dread dynamo and a scrap recycler. and i say add in one machina fortress because just the one is plenty. you might want to throw in a magical hats because that lets you destroy 2 geartowns at once letting you summon 2 dragons to the field.76.164.185.203 (talk) 08:16, February 10, 2011 (UTC)DarknessMetal


I run Ancient Gears too, but I don't like Chimera all THAT much. Sure, it's a free 2300 ATK with no sacrifices cuz of Geartown, but theres no trample effect. Golem, Beast, even Soldier let you attack without worrying about Magic Cylinder, Draining, or some other crap. Thing is, if you have Dragons on the field and Chimera attacks, then the opponent can go Mirror Force anyway. What i like about the gears is that you waste lik 1/5 of the deck because they cant run defense traps, and chimera lets the opp put it back into play
