Ever since the first season (4-kids english dub), the antagonists wanted the pharaoh's power for something (Pegasus for his wife, Dartz to resurrect the great leviathan, Marik to control the world). The key was usually the millennium puzzle and the egyptian gods (dartz wanted the pharaoh's soul). When the pharaoh finally went into the memory world and fought bandit king bakura and zorc, he ended up learning that his name was Atem and unlocked his memory and power. However, atem still seemed to only have glimpses of his father and some parts of his childhood. Bakura said that the pharaoh's ability to summon the egyptian gods came from his knowledge of the future, which means he didn't have them before (although dartz said he saw atem summoning slifer). In that case, if atem couldn't summon horakhty the first time, how did he beat zorc? With his own power/magic? What exactly is the "power of the pharaoh" that marik talked about?Surya97 (talkcontribs) 17:44, August 14, 2016 (UTC)
