- In the anime and manga, Puppet Master only required a cost of 1000 Life Points to activate its effect.
- This card was used by Yami Bakura in his duel against Yami Marik in order to Special Summon three monsters Bakura's Graveyard, and used it to summon The Earl of Demise, Headless Knight, and Goblin Zombie as a sacifice for Marik's The Winged Dragon of Ra (this only happened in the anime, while in the manga, Bukura used Puppet Master's special ability only summon monsters, also one of the three monsters was Dark Necrofear, not The Earl of Demise), which Bakura would take from Marik using a combination of Dark Designator, in order to add Ra to Marik's hand from his Deck, and Exchange.
