- This card is a reference to an ancient Japanese Sohei (warrior monk), Saito Musashibo Benkei. He is famous for serving Minamoto no Yoshitsune, for his amazing strength which led to him being called an Oniwaka (Demon Child) during his childhood, and his "standing death", which is seen in the Japanese artwork.
- The German "Flaming Eternity" version of this card has a typo in its effect text. The word ausgerüstet is mistyped as ausgerütet.
- This card appears in the artwork of "Monk Halberd" and "Supreme King Brutality".
