Elemental HERO Gustav Max OTK

This is an OTK using the Rank 10 monster "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" along with some Elemental HEROes to cause your opponent to lose by Burn effects. While this does require a lot of cards to pull off, this is fairly unique in OTKs in that it only requires two cards to be Drawn or Searched for before pulling it off.

Setup

For the duration of this article, the card names will be shortened to the following:

• "Elemental HERO Avian", "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix", "Elemental HERO Clayman", and "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" are referred to as the "Main Materials"
• "Elemental HERO Electrum" is referred to as "Electrum"
• "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" is referred to as "Gustav Max"
• "Elemental HERO Gaia" is referred to as "Gaia".

Preparations

• "Fusion Gate" active, or ready to be activated. (If not active, activate)
• "Chain Material", activated earlier that turn, or ready to be activated. (If not active, activate)

The OTK

• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (A) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck (or anywhere except Banished Zone).
  • "Electrum" (A)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials") to the Main Deck.
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (B) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (B)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials") to the Main Deck.
• Xyz Summon "Gustav Max" using the two "Electrum"s (A & B).
• Detach one "Electrum" (A) from "Gustav Max"
  • Deals 2000 damage and places "Electrum" (A) into the Graveyard.

At this time, there is "Gustav Max" (With "Electrum" (B) attached) on the Field and "Electrum" (A) in the Graveyard. The opponent has lost 2000 Life Points.

• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (A) using "Electrum" (A) and "Gustav Max".
  • "Electrum" (B) is placed in the Graveyard.
• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (B) using "Electrum" (B) and "Gaia" (A).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (C) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (C)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials" to the Main Deck and "Gaia" (A), "Electrum" (A & B), and "Gustav Max" to the Extra Deck).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (A) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (A)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials") to the Main Deck.
• Xyz Summon "Gustav Max" using the two "Electrum"s (A & C).
• Detach one "Electrum" (A) from "Gustav Max"
  • Deals 2000 damage and places "Electrum" (A) into the Graveyard.

At this time, there is "Gustav Max" (With "Electrum" (C) attached) and "Gaia" (B) on the Field and "Electrum" (A) in the Graveyard. The opponent has lost 4000 Life Points.

• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (A) using "Electrum" (A) and "Gustav Max".
  • "Electrum" (C) is placed in the Graveyard.
• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (C) using "Electrum" (C) and "Gaia" (A).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (B) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (B)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials" to the Main Deck and "Gaia" (A), "Electrum" (A & C), and "Gustav Max" to the Extra Deck).
• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (A) using "Gaia" (B) and "Gaia" (C).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (A) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.

At this time, there is "Gustav Max" (With "Electrum" (B) attached) and "Gaia" (A) on the Field and "Electrum" (A) in the Graveyard. The opponent has lost 6000 Life Points.

• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (B) using "Electrum" (A) and "Gustav Max".
  • "Electrum" (B) is placed in the Graveyard.
• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (C) using "Electrum" (B) and "Gaia" (B).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (C) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (C)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials" to the Main Deck and "Gaia" (B), "Electrum" (A & B), and "Gustav Max" to the Extra Deck).
• Fusion Summon "Gaia" (B) using "Gaia" (A) and "Gaia" (C).
• Fusion Summon "Electrum" (A) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
  • "Electrum" (A)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials" to the Main Deck and "Gaia" (A & C) to the Extra Deck).
• Xyz Summon "Gustav Max" using the two "Electrum"s (A & C).
• Detach one "Electrum" (A) from "Gustav Max"
  • Deals 2000 damage and places "Electrum" (A) into the Graveyard.

At this time, there is "Gustav Max" (With "Electrum" (C) attached) and "Gaia" (B) on the Field and "Electrum" (A) in the Graveyard. The opponent has lost 8000 Life Points. If the opponent has Life Points still because they raised their Life Point total, continue this until they lose them all.

Building the Deck - Needed Cards

This Deck needs 7 Extra Deck Cards:

• Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max
• Elemental HERO Electrum X3
• Elemental HERO Gaia X3

This Deck also requires the following in the Main Deck:

• Fusion Gate
• Chain Material
• Elemental HERO Avian
• Elemental HERO Burstinatrix
• Elemental HERO Clayman
• Elemental HERO Bubbleman

Three of each will benefit retrieval of the required cards easier.

Building the Deck - Optional Cards

• Using "A Cat of Ill Omen", "An Owl of Luck", and "Terraforming" can speed up how quickly you get the required Field Spell and Trap cards.

• Using "Necrovalley" (for "A Cat of Ill Omen" and "An Owl of Luck") can speed up the retrieval of the two needed cards. Use "Super-Nimble Mega Hamster" to retrieve and Set "A Cat of Ill Omen".

• This Deck can fail if you fail to obtain the two cards that you need. For a quick finish, place an extra "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" and a few "Metal Reflect Slime" in order to possibly summon a second "Gustav Max" if the opponent finds a way to dismantle your loop.

• As the deck already uses "Elemental HERO Bubbleman", "Bubble Illusion" can be used to allow you to play "Chain Material" on your first turn, giving this the ability to be an FTK. "Temple of the Kings" can be used for the same purpose, and does not require "Bubbleman" on the field.

• This Deck should have some ways to survive without the needed cards for some turns. Remember that you do not need the "Elemental HEROs" in your Deck to pull this off, They can be banished from the Graveyard too. This opens them up for attack fodder or Synchro and Xyz Summoning.

• Because three different Normal Monsters are used in this Deck, consider using cards like "Natural Tune" and "Faustian Bargain". "Elemental HERO Neos Alius" can act as a Normal Monster for "Natural Tune" while also having a good Attack.

• Consider using the "Elemental HERO" monsters that require "One Elemental HERO plus one (Attribute) monster" as Materials. For example, "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" can be Special Summoned before the combo by using any "Elemental HERO" along with "Elemental HERO Bubbleman". This would cause the opponent to lose their monsters if you then Fuse "Elemental HERO Absolute Zero" with another monster for "Elemental HERO The Shining" or another "HERO + Attribute" monster.

• "Elemental HERO The Shining" can turn into an emergency back-up. If your opponent was able to negate the effect of "Elemental HERO Electrum", they would prevent the only way to return your banished cards to your Decks and prevent you from continuing the loop. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can return two banished "Elemental HERO" monsters to your hand. Fusion Monsters will instead be returned to the Extra Deck. Remember that this card needs to go "from the field to the Graveyard", this means that you cannot use "Fusion Gate" or "Chain Material" to remove it from the field to get its effect.

• You can also use "Magical Hats" to send "Fusion Gate" and "Z-ONE" to the graveyard to add "Fusion Gate" to your hand to play next turn using Z-ONE's effect.
  • Magical Hats will also flip monsters face down, which help A Cat of Ill Omen and An Owl of Luck.
