- You can use "Wall of Revealing Light", "Gift Card" or "Upstart Goblin" to make it easier to get the 7000 Life Points difference.
- In a "Six Samurai" Deck, use this card with "Backs to the Wall".
- You can use the card The Eye of Truth to give your opponent life points making this card a little safer to use as you wont need to be at critical life points to activate it.
- The various video games occasionally challenge the player to get a draw instead of winning or losing. Self-Destruct Button is generally the easiest way of doing that.
- You might expect that you could chain Poison of the Old Man to this card to allow you to gain life points after it resolves; however, the duel ends IMMEDIATELY if either player runs out of life points, even in the middle of a chain.
This is the only card that absolutely cannot help you win a single duel.
