A good way to beat a Beatdown deck is to use the card "[[Shield & Sword]]". The "[[Shield & Sword]" card changes the atk power and the def power of monsters on the field. Since most of your opponent's monsters will have high attack and low defense, you clearly have to advantage to take out your opponent's monsters and most of your opponent's life points that turn. To save one of your monsters from being attacked the next turn by your opponent, it may be best to have a card such as "[[Negate Attack]]" or "[[Waboku]]" or a similar card to save your life points the next turn. If you repeat this strategy for about 3 turns, you may lessen your opponent's life points by a lot.
