OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Zone Eater" is a Trigger Effect that activates on the field. (The effect does not target. It always activates after damage calculation, if "Zone Eater" attacked an opponent's monster. It also activates if "Zone Eater" is destroyed by battle.)[1]
- During your Battle Phase, if your "Zone Eater" attacked an opponent's monster, that turn that this card attacked is counted as the first turn. During each player's turn, the count is increased by 1, then during the End Phase of the 5th turn, the monster that "Zone Eater" attacked is destroyed.[1]
- Destroying the monster during the End Phase of the 5th turn does not start a Chain Link.[1]
