This card is the Synchro counterpart of "Tiras, Keeper of Genesis" and "Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon".
- It is Light-attributed like "Tiras", and is Fiend-Type, like "Adreus".
- It is also Level 5, while "Tiras" and "Adreus" are Rank 5.

The background of this card's artwork appears to be a tundra, with a visible aurora lighting the dark sky. Auroras are illusory optical phenomenon that appear in polar climates, a reference to this card's name.

This monster's shield looks similar to the symbol of the "Ice Barrier" archetype.
