• "Banderillero Fiend" is featured on the artwork of "Power Spirit".

• In bullfighting, a Banderillero is a type of torero (bullfighter) who plants colored flags on a bull's shoulders over the course of a fight. These fighters are judged based on their bravery and skill in getting as close to the bull as possible while planting the flags, and can actually "correct" the bull's charges with this lancing such that the matador is less likely to be injured.
  • This is reflected in this monster's effect– by "lancing away" a potential threat set up by the "bull" (the opponent duelist), he protects Archfiend Matador from dangerous "charges" it's owner's opponent could make.
