• The Charge of the Light Brigade was an ill-advised cavalry charge, led by Lord Cardigan, which occurred during the Battle of Balaclava on October 25, 1854 during the Crimean War. There is also a poem and film called "Charge of the Light Brigade", which are references to said cavalry charge. The poem was written by Lord Alfred Tennyson.
