Both have "Chaos"-style Summoning requirements, this card's effect can Special Summon "Darkflare" ("Darkflare" is a Level 5 [[DARK]] [[Dragon]]-[[Type]], the exact minimum for the effect of "Lightpulsar"), and "Darkflare" can send this card to the Graveyard in order to be Special Summoned by its own effect. Also each one mirrors the position of the other.

** Moreover, both monsters depict space phenomena: pulsar for "Lightpulsar Dragon" and sun flare for "Darkflare Dragon".
