- This card has an upgraded version known as "Perfect Machine King" as well as a prototype form, "Machine King Prototype".
- "Mechanicalchaser", "Robotic Knight", and "Cyber Soldier" all serve under him.
- A promotional version of this card has its name in white.
- This is the only monster of its "evolution" line to get its ATK increased without having any other Machine monster on the field.
- "Machine King" could be based on the Transformers character Optimus Prime. Not only are they similar in appearance, but both are leaders of machines.
