- "Marauding Captain" frequently shows up in the artwork of other cards. He is normally depicted along with "Gagagigo" fighting an unseen opponent together, though some cards reveal their enemy to be the "Invader of Darkness".This also shows the storyline of the Gagagigo (series). He has been in the pictures of the following cards:
- The scar on "Marauding Captain's" left eye is most likely from the attack depicted in "Battle-Scarred".
- The Warrior Returning Alive most likely occurs after Battle-Scarred, the latter depicting the shattering of one of the Marauder's swords which is still shown in the former
- He has also fought monsters such as Despair from the Dark (Staunch Defender), Terrorking Archfiend (Battle-Scarred), Inpachi (Double Attack), Blazing Inpachi (Two-Man Cell Battle), and Goblin Attack Force (Assault on GHQ).
- Notably while all those monsters would defeat him in-game (as they have superior statistics), he returns alive from all of those confrontations, possibly in reference to the lockdown one can perform by summoning two Marauding captains stopping your opponent from attacking you or The Warrior Returning Alive card.
- This card is similar to Familiar Knight in several ways. For one, they're both Warrior-type Monsters that each have 1200 ATK. Physically, they both wear armor, similar-looking hair in terms of color, and both wear capes. Both of them also allow a player to Special Summon Monsters from the hand; Marauding Captain lets you do so as soon as it's summoned, while Familiar Knight's effect activates when it's destroyed, and both players get to do so.
- One of this card's effects is similar to Magician's Valkyria's effect.
- Marauding Captain may be a younger version of Template:Freed The Brave Wanderer.
