- This is the very first Normal Monster in the game that has it's flavor text written in poetic form, as opposed to a simple description of the monster.
- It's more than likely that Artorigus is based on King Arthur due to him pulling the mythical sword from the stone, which depending on sources is sometimes considered to be Excalibur.
- Interestingly, this card can be used for the Xyz Summon of Heroic Champion Excalibur. It also has exactly 200 less ATK and DEF than that card. Because of this, it could be Excalibur before obtaining his sword.
- This card may have been designed to make the Xyz Summon of Blade Armor Ninja easier, (when used with Rescue Rabbit) along with Heroic Champion Excalibur. Both monsters are Rank 4 and require Warrior-type materials.
- This card will be featured as a promotional card at the Galactic Overlord Sneak Preview event, making it the second Normal Monster with such a distinction (Alexandrite Dragon is the first).
- The poem written on this card is very similar to the poem 'Morte d'Arthur'.
