* This card's name is a portmanteau of "[[wikipedia:Poseidon|Poseidon]]", the Greek god of the sea, and a dragon/hydra.
** Even the tip of its tail has the image of Poseidon's [[wikipedia:Trident|Trident]].
* This card's effect seems be a mix between "[[Masked HERO Acid]]" and "[[Giant Trunade]]". "Giant Trunade" returns all Spell and Trap Cards on both sides of the field to the hand and the effect of "Acid" reduces the ATK of your opponent's monsters.
