- This card's name is a portmanteau of "Poseidon", the Greek god of the sea, and a dragon/hydra.
- Even the tip of its tail has the image of Poseidon's Trident.
- This monster position, color scheme and posture are similar to Lagiacrus, from Monster Hunter.
- This monster appears in the artworks of "Call of the Atlanteans", "High Tide on Fire Island", "Phantasm Spiral Crash", and "Phantasm Spiral Assault".
- The neck bracelet of this monster appears in the artwork of "Abyss-squall" and as an armband in the artwork of "Mermail Abyssgaios".
- In addition, this monster's body is identical to the lower half of "Mermail Abyssgaios", indicating that the two are related in some way.
- This relation can be seen in the commercials for Abyss Rising and Realm of the Sea Emperor.
