This card has a  younger version of it's self called "[[Atlantean Tridon]]"

Revision as of 20:58, 8 February 2013

  • This card's name is a portmanteau of "Poseidon", the Greek god of the sea, and a dragon/hydra.
    • Even the tip of its tail has the image of Poseidon's Trident.
  • This card's effect seems be a mix between "Masked HERO Acid" and "Giant Trunade". "Giant Trunade" returns all Spell and Trap Cards on both sides of the field to the hand and the effect of "Acid" reduces the ATK of your opponent's monsters.
  • It's interesting to point out that when this card uses 3 new "Atlantean" monsters to Summon itself, its ATK and DEF becomes equal to the total ATK and DEF of those monsters. Two offensive "Atlantean", both with only 1400 ATK, will total to 2800, and the last one, which is defensive, has only 1600 DEF.
  • "A Legendary Ocean" is slightly visible in the upper left corner of this card, indicating the Atlanteans might have some connection with it.
  • This card's body is identical to the lower half of "Mermail Abyssgaios", indicating that the two may be related in some way, if not the same monster.
    • This relation can be seen in the Abyss Rising japanese commercial. It can also be seen in the Realm of the Sea Emperor commercial.
    • Both monsters also share the same Rank/Level, Attribute and ATK/DEF, which further supports that they may be one and the same.
