  • This card's name is a portmanteau of "Poseidon", the Greek god of the sea, and a dragon/hydra.
    • Even the tip of its tail has the image of Poseidon's Trident.
  • The neck bracelet of this monster appears in the artwork of "Abyss-squall" and as an armband in the artwork of "Mermail Abyssgaios".
    • In addition, this monster's body is identical to the lower half of "Mermail Abyssgaios", indicating that the two are related in some way.
  • It's interesting to point out that when this card uses 3 new "Atlantean" monsters to Summon itself, its ATK and DEF becomes equal to the total ATK and DEF of those monsters. Two offensive "Atlantean", both with only 1400 ATK, will total to 2800, and the last one, which is defensive, has only 1600 DEF.
