  • The colors of Scapegoat are the same colors as the four Ghosts in the Pac-Man games.
  • A "scapegoat" is a term used to refer to an innocent person who is unjustly blamed for a wrongdoing and/or unjustly punished. The term originated from the Jewish custom of sacrificing a goat (representing the sins of the people) by driving it off into the wilderness as part of the ceremonies of Yom Kippur. This card's name and art is a literal and metaphorical pun on this etymology: it's artwork which consists of 4 innocent looking sheep carelessly hovering around in the wilderness, seemingly unaware that they are going to be used as scapegoats in order to defend it's controller's life points.
  • "Scapegoat" has a weaker counterpart known as "Stray Lambs".
  • This card's name is often confused with "Spacegoat". But the actual name is "Scapegoat".
