"Yamato-no-Kami":
  • This is the first and the only Spirit monster that can be Special Summoned - in fact, this card MUST be Special Summoned, you can't Normal Summon Yamato-no-Kami.
  • Yamato no Kami means "God of Yamato" and Yamato(大和) is an ancient Japanese name for Japan.
  • Yamato-no-Kami was the Japanese god of the mountains
