Standard Chaos Dragon
DecksAZ
The Chaos Dragon Deck utilizes a combination of Chaos Sorcerer and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. It is based off of the Disaster Dragon build, invented by Damien Franklin. His build focused on getting out Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, and Chaos Sorcerer. You can use Future Fusion Lightsworn or Dragon Ravine to send monsters to the graveyard to summon Lightpulsar, or set up DAD (Dark Armed Dragon) or BLS much faster. There are many key cards that can be incorporated into this deck. For example, Dimensional Alchemist can return removed from play Red-Eyes Wyverns to your hand, or any other monster card in your deck. This deck does not rely heavily on Synchro monsters, although useful Synchro Monsters such as Stardust Dragon or Black Rose Dragon are included. Another variant centers around cards released in the Dragon Collide Structure Deck that includes Chaos Sorcerer, Lightpulsar Dragon, Darkflare Dragon, Eclipse Wyvern, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and Lightsworn monsters to intricate combos to remove monsters and get them back.
==Dragonsworn/DSN Reset Deck==This Deck is Based on A Chaos Dragon deck utilizes the Graveyard with a Lightsworn and dragon combination that relies of Chaos monsters for their powerful effects with Effect Monsters with Send 1 Card to Graveyard or Milling effects to fuel them. The earliest builds focused on 3 different dragons; getting out "Judgment DragonChaos Sorcerer", and "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning": much later the "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", and "Genesis Lightpulsar Dragon"Monsters that give this Deck its name. Its purpose is to You can use "Judgment DragonLightsworn" to clear the field and then to swarm it and attack with a lot of power. You will also need monsters "Raiden" because you're going to be milling your cards. Because of this you only need a few traps: and "Lyla", with "Threatening RoarSolar Recharge", "Dimensional PrisonCharge of the Light Brigade", and "Beckoning LightReasoning". The strategy is to as a mill to get your Dragons and Lightsworns into your graveyardengine. There is little chance of a Deck out if you have "Genesis DragonCard Trooper" because of its effect. (Don't run this Deck without it as it would be pointless was originally used to do so). The deck's strength is completely based on your ability mill 1 to empty your Deck into your Graveyard and then 3, but has lost favor to recycle your dragons using the effect utility of "Genesis DragonKuribandit" and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonMathematician", which offer better control on what to send to the Graveyard.
A good combo "Lightpulsar Dragon" is the main beater being able to use revive itself easily, while "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Darkflare Dragon" to special summon speeds up "Lightpulsar" and setups summoning both "Gragonith, Lightsworn Dark Armed Dragon" from the the graveyard and then tribute it for "Celestia, Lightsworn AngelBlack Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning". Once a reasonable amount of cards have been milled it is recommended to stop focusing on milling or risk running out of cards to draw too fast and lose automatically.
This variant can also integrate "Sky Scourge Norleras" and "Phantom of Chaos" - this is based on a Japanese build known as "DSN Reset" (Dragonsworn Norleras Reset). This build revolves around using Lightsworns to mill your "Red-Eyes WyvernGalaxy Cyclone", "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonBreakthrough Skill", "Sky Scourge Norleras" and your chosen beatdown dragon ("Gragonith, Lightsworn DragonSkill Prisoner" is recommended due to the amount are some of its ATK it will have since you'll be milling other Lightsworns alongside the Dragons. Also, it few Spell/Trap cards that can be Special Summoned, and it takes only 1 Tribute to be Tribute Summoned). When you pull of played from the "Sky Scourge Norleras" and "Phantom of Chaos" combohand, your opponent will find themselves with no field and no hand to compete withor milled, while you are removing your "Red-Eyes Wyverns" to gain field and hand advantagethen used next turn again by banishing them.
==Twilight This Deck relies heavily on Special Summoning powerful monsters with devastating effects in order to overpower and Chaos==Twilight (A mill based design using OTK the opponent. It can also create Level 8 Synchro Monsters consistently due to the synergy of "White Dragon Wyverburster", "Dragon Collapserpent monsters" (which replace themselves with the other when sent from the field to the Graveyard, but not when detached as Xyz Materials), and "Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn".* "Lightpulsar Dragon", "Caius the Shadow Monarch", and "Chaos Sorcerer" also open up Rank 6 plays after their effects are used. With "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonConstellar Ptolemy M7" being able to return monsters from the Graveyard to the hand, milling "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", or other powerful monsters is no longer at risk of being milled and unusable.  * Milling the Deck early to mid game sets up the Graveyard in order to banish LIGHT and DARK monsters to Special Summon the Chaos monsters. "Darkflare Dragon", "Card Trooper", "Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn", "Lightpulsar DragonCharge of the Light Brigade* ", and "Solar Recharge" are used for this strategy. Using "Red-Eyes WyvernTour Guide From the Underworld* " to Summon "LylaDante, Lightsworn SorceressTraveler of the Burning Abyss" was also used, but the limiting of "Tour Guide" in April 2015 has made this option unreliable.
This sample monster line up allows Dragons Collide Structure Deck contains many of the controller to mill cards from their deck used in this Deck, thus making it easier to the graveyardbuild. Lyla serves as spell/trap removal, while at Many of the same time fueling LP's (LightPulsar Dragon) special summon requirement from the the hand. Wyvern is included because it serves as an alternative to summoning REDMD (Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon)when you cards required that are not found in Dragons Collide have no way of accessing LP. Staples such as Monster Reborn, Future Fusionbeen reprinted, and Solemn Warning make thus making this deck more than an affordable but formidable. Be weary of decks that use remove from play tactics, Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure or Necrovalley, which can ultimately cripple the deck. Also BEWARE of KKMD (Koa'ki Meiru Drago from opposing Dragon decksoption for duelists.
== History ==This archetypeChaos (Specializing in removing and bringing s origins go all the way back powerful monsters to pressure the opponent)* 2004’s Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonInvasion of Chaos* and the introduction of the original three Chaos Monsters. Immediately, it was clear that these were some of the most powerful monsters. "Dark Armed Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End* ", "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning* ", and "Chaos Sorcerer* Dimensional Alchemist* Lightpulsar Dragon" brought forth powerful effects and attack power all for the simple Summoning condition of banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from the Graveyard.
The only issue with this deck is idea and theme of Chaos and the cluttered hands filled with big monstersbattle of LIGHT vs. DA (Dimensional Alchemist) is here DARK was introduced, which led to recover monsters that you remove from play. You can remove from play BLS via Chaos Sorcerer or LP and use DA's effect to get them back. A powerful one of the most consistent card to include themes in this build is Return from the Different Dimension, which allows you a possibility history of an OTK. Despite all Yu-Gi-Oh! that still shapes the power houses this deck has any deck that can stop their summons or 1 for 1 you each turn will surely tear this deck apartgame today.
With February and May 2008 saw the release of new LIGHTPhantom Darkness and DARKLight of Destruction support these 2 deck types will respectively. These two sets would further evolve beyond being a variation the theme of Disaster Dragon. Both decks have the ability to punish your opponent for destroying your monstersstruggle between light and darkness, but theyreinforce the notion of Chaos in DARK and LIGHT summoning conditions, like Disaster, require forethought. When building either deck keep and introduce some of the most powerful monsters to date in mind your goal: to either grind away your opponents resources with "Armed Dragon or destroy them for opposing you with " and "Dragon". Checkout Both cards would shape the meta drastically as TwilightTele-DAD, Chaos, Hopeless would wreck havoc and "Dark Armed Dragon, " would reach a staggering $250 price point. Lightsworns had several cards appear on the Limited list as well as both Dark Armed and Judgment Dragon. The end of 2008 saw the release of one of the most powerful Dragon specific cards in "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon for further support".
==Monsters==<!-- This is not an exact Decklist. Do not add multiples or staples.-->* The "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal DragonLightsworn* " archetype in Light of Destruction revolved around Chaos Sorcerermilling* Red-Eyes Wyvern* Prime Material , which sends cards from the Deck to the Graveyard. This random milling allowed the player to fill the Graveyard with monsters rather quickly to fulfill the summoning condition of "Judgment Dragon* Delta Flyer* Cyber Dragon* Black Luster Soldier - Envoy " while triggering monster effects along the way. "Card Trooper" was already a great part of this strategy and "Lightsworns" reinforced it tremendously. After spending some time in Forbidden, "Chaos Zone* Allure of DarknessSorcerer" is now Limited to 1.
==Traps==* The Divine WrathDragons Collide Structure Deck* hit the scene as one of the best Structure Decks to date. This structure deck introduced two new Chaos monsters in the forms of "Solemn JudgmentDarkflare Dragon* " and "Solemn WarningLightpulsar Dragon* ". Both had the original Chaos Summoning condition and their own unique effects. "Darkflare" can banish a card in either player's Graveyard by sending a Dragon-Type monster from the hand and another one from the Deck to the Graveyard. "Lightpulsar" can be Summoned from the Graveyard by sending a LIGHT and DARK monster from the hand to the Graveyard. It also Special Summons a Level 5 or higher DARK Dragon from the Graveyard when it is sent from the field to the Graveyard. Its synergy with "Darkflare", and more importantly, "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", made these Dragons an excellent addition to the Dimensional Prison* Return from the Different DimensionDisaster DragonDeck.
==Extra Deck==* Five-Headed Dragon* The third unique card was "Ally of Justice CatastorEclipse Wyvern* Brionac, ". It banishes a LIGHT or DARK Dragon of from the Deck when it is sent to the Ice Barrier* by any means. When "Wyvern" is banished, Dragon of the Ice Barrier* Ancient Fairy Dragon* Exploder Dragonwing* Black Rose Dragon* Stardust Dragon* Dark End Dragon* Colossal Fighter* Scrap Dragon* Red Dragon Archfiend* Trident Dragion* Leviair banished card can be added to the Sea hand. Its synergy with "Darkflare Dragon" and milling created a viable engine for this new deck.
"Black Dragon Collapserpent" and "White Dragon Wyverburster" continued the theme of light and dark while working together. Each monster required the player to banish 1 of the opposite Attribute in order to special summon them. Each monster also searched a copy of each other when they were sent to the Graveyard, giving Chaos Dragon a bit of consistency and field presence without losing advantage. Their effects do not miss timing, so Tributing or Synchro Summoning allows the second Dragon to be searched These dragons would become essential to Chaos Dragons and the form it has taken today. They are among the last "Chaos" support the Deck has gotten to date. This would require the Deck to look elsewhere for support and strength.

Also, the deck shares a weakness with most of the meta decks: Anti-Special Summon cards such as "Archlord Kristya", "Evilswarm Ophion", and Vanity's Emptiness can easily cripple this deck. "Necrovalley" can prevent banishing or access to Graveyards, making any attempts to Summon Chaos monsters near impossible. "Imperial Iron Wall" can also prevent the effects of most Chaos monsters, including "Eclipse Wyvern" and "Darkflare Dragon". Cards like "Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror" and "Light-Imprisoning Mirror" prevents the Trigger effects of light and dark monsters such as "Red Lightpulsar Dragon Archfiend", "Night Assailant" and "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter". Vanity's Emptiness and Skill Drain can heavily distrupt and stop this deck although, as of April 2015, these two cards are now limited to 1.
Despite having originated from the same Dragon deck type origins; the Disaster Dragon deck can, ironically, also stop this deck dead in its tracks, due to it having access to "Koa'ki Meiru Drago" (which can torpedo the summoning of any Chaos monsters). It is also able to utilize a wider array of Side Deck options such as "Electric Virus", "Chaos Trap Hole", "Rivalry of Warlords" (which ensure that any non-Dragon Chaos monsters cannot interfere) and "Light and Darkness Dragon," making it harder for Chaos Dragons to contend. Despite this, several different side deck combinations can be used to contend with its counters.
